Procedure

Note: Allow 15 mins of powered operation before calibration.

Analogue Output Calibration

When the

display shows

Action/Description

Put the instrument in setup mode and scroll through the main menu

COPn

Press ì or Å

COPy

Press ENT to select output calibration

OPlO

Connect the multimeter to measure the output signal, then press ENT

Adjust the output (using the ì or Å keys) until the output is at the output range

minimum.

When you are happy that the output is correct, press ENT

OPHI

Press ENT

Measure the output signal

Adjust the output (using the ì or Å keys) until the output is at the output range

maximum

When you are happy that the output is correct, press ENT

Save

Continue with the setup sequence.

Note: Do not remove the power while the save message is on display.

• Digital Input Type Selection

General

The AMS400A Digital Input Type can be selected using two push-fit

umpers on J3 and J4 on the main board.

• For volt free contacts use positions a-b and d-e.

• For Voltage Inputs use positions b-c and e-f.

The Digital Inputs are connected by these jumpers to the Analogue

input circuit. You can remove the jumpers to isolate the two circuits

for voltage type inputs. If you need higher isolation, remove linking

esistors R16 and R23 - marked with single black line (DC powered

units only).
